Bed and Breakfast
Located deep in Ontario’s premier wine country is this modern Chateau styled, 5000 sq. ft., income producing, 6+ acre property. Along with three paddocks, there are eight, double stalls and indoor riding arena. There is a separate five bedroom, three bathroom, bed and breakfast business that has an 100% occupancy, in addition to a farm-to-table event space, seating for 40, complimented by a commercial kitchen.
Throughout its history, Gallop Stables has constantly evolved to serve the needs of its owner. The stable itself and adjoining arena have served as a successful equestrian centre, specializing in Hunter-Jumper clinics and classes, thoroughbred rehabilitation, and boarding for conscientious horse owners. The property has not only rehabilitated horses, but also wild animals, including an orphaned fawn, and a Canada goose that still returns to the front pond every year.
The residence has hosted special events, housed actors from The Shaw Festival, served as an informal creative space for fabric and visual arts, and provided lodgings for Niagara visitors as a Bed and Breakfast. The vegetable gardens have always been organic and consistently provide plenty of fresh summer produce like tomatoes, peppers, garlic, squash, cabbage, melon, lettuce, and herbs. Much of the summer produce goes directly to the massive basement kitchen where it gets preserved to provide a taste of summer all winter long.
